meet a nice guy, engage in a little harmless flirting
hang out with the nice guy, have a few dates
spend more quality time, share a few secrets, be there for each other . . .

My imaginary picture gallery includes "have a creative career and be respected by my peers" in it. I think the picture before that would be, "fairy godmother shows up to kick my ass into gear."
